In just 5 years, Foundation has earned a deserved reputation for the quality of its' buying, and the uncanny ability to spot the best up-and-coming designers from Britain, Europe and the US, as well as more established names who consistently 'deliver the goods'.

Our ethos is and has always been to:

• Treat all of our customers the same way - well!
• Avoid 'labels for labels' sake'.
• Buy clothes that we love (and that we think our customers will love) irrespective of who they're by.
• Provide a welcoming un-intimidating atmosphere to shop in.
• Make sure that the quality/price ratio on all our clothes is what it should be!
• Seek out the unusual and the hand-crafted.
• Stock as wide a range of sizes as possible, from a size 8 to a size 18 (where available).
• Offer speedy alterations and impeccable service

_The quality of our service, buying and our business model was recognised in the Drapers Awards 2005, when we were one of 6 shortlisted shops (out of hundreds) in the 'Best New Business' category).

For Spring/Summer 2008, we have some gorgeous pieces by our existing crop of designers, including Nicole Farhi, Marilyn Moore, J & M Davidson, James Jeans, Turnover, Essentiel, Rützou, and Saltwater.

Shoes as ever, are beautiful, with boots and shoes by Audley and The Jackson Twins! Other ranges for us this season, are a return to the fresh ethnic and folky prints and soft textiles of Saltwater, Hoss Intropia, sophisticated retro 'Riviera' glam from By Malene Birger.

Fun and funky pieces by are by Swedish designers Odd Molly, as well as fantastically fitting and inexpensive dresses by Belgian designers Vandenvos, beautiful tailoring by Libelula and Paddy Campbell, wearable and beautiful clothes by Betty Jackson
